These “Sunlight” towels have a vintage touch and are made with a super absorbent 100% unmercerized cotton for the warp and an amazing blend of linen/cotton weaving yarn imported directly from Italy for the weft. It’s spun and dyed at a small family-run mill in Florence. This soft, textured, fine slub yarn is designed for weaving both home textiles and next-to-skin apparel and is 50% linen, 50% slub cotton. They’re woven for use and to stand up to wear. Use in your kitchen to dry your dishes, line a basket of rolls, as a beautiful hand towel in a guest bath, or give as a memorable hostess or housewarming gift. 
 
These towels have a different look and feel from my cotton and cotton bouclé towels and the warm golden yellow and crisp, clean white is a perfect combination! The linen content has a lovely hand and they have a slightly elegant texture to them. The towels will continue to soften with washing. All Gift of Grace towels are individually woven and finished by hand, then preshrunk and washed and pressed twice. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low or air dry (air drying preserves the longevity of linen).
 
 
The classic cotton kitchen towel….our most used and appreciated tool in all our kitchens. We can’t live without them! They wipe up messy spills, dry our dishes, catch crumbs, and clean precious children’s faces. These colorful autumn toned towels were created for your home and family. I spent many hours combining the colors I thought would express my deep and abiding love of all the autumn colors around me, then winding the warp, putting it on the loom and then….the fun part…..weaving each towel. When the batch of towels is finished they’re washed, cut apart and each one hand hemmed. Then they’re washed and pressed again and ready for loving use in your home.
 
I’ve been using handwoven towels and napkins in my home for 5 years now and can’t imagine using anything else. It feels good to be honoring the earth by using towels that don’t end up in a landfill. And my towels look just as nice as they did when new and they’ve become softer and more absorbent with each washing.
