The colors and sounds of the sea have always soothed my soul. Our yearly trips to Maui for 23 years was a way to fill my cup and it will always be my second home.
 
The classic cotton kitchen towel….our most used and appreciated tool in all our kitchens. We can’t live without them! They wipe up messy spills, dry our dishes, catch crumbs, and clean precious children’s faces. These colorful autumn toned towels were created for your home and family. I spent many hours combining the colors I thought would express my deep and abiding love of all the autumn colors around me, then winding the warp, putting it on the loom and then….the fun part…..weaving each towel. When the batch of towels is finished they’re washed, cut apart and each one hand hemmed. Then they’re washed and pressed again and ready for loving use in your home.
 
I’ve been using handwoven towels and napkins in my home for 4 years now and can’t imagine using anything else. It feels good to be honoring the earth by using towels that don’t end up in a landfill. And my towels look just as nice as they did when new and they’ve become softer and more absorbent with each washing
 
These towels are warped with royal blue, lighter blue, peacock and purple cotton and with the same colors used in the weft. Finished size is 16” x 25”. It’s 100% non-mercerized quality cotton and easy care with machine washing and drying.

All weaving is done by me on my lovely Louet David floor loom in my smoke-free but dog friendly home in rural Utah.
