I've been planning these Handspun/Handwoven table runners for months! First was choosing the colors of wool I wanted to give the earthy/rustic vibe I was looking for. Then there spinning up 8-4 oz. braids of wool in different but coordinating colors and then figuring out the amount I needed for the warp and weft. Everything about this runner is Handmade and Earthy. This is the gift for that special someone who values a unique work of art and the time and love that made it happen.....or spoil yourself?!
 
I have 2 runners available and each is different. The photo with a runner on my table is not the one you'll receive....it's one I'm keeping. All the other photos show the exact runner you're purchasing. 
 
The wools were all handdyed by different artists, then lovingly spun on my spinning wheel and then woven on my loom. I hand twisted a 4" fringe on each end for some added pizazz and texture. Many hours were spent creating this piece and every minute was a delight. The colors are wonderful autumnal tones:  rich rusts, sage greens, deep rich rainforest greens, dark chocolate browns....and there's little splashes of sky blue just for fun! All of these lovely colors are hand dyed on a mix of Blue Faced Leicester, Mixed Blue Faced Leicester and Blue Faced Leicester/Silk. Weaving with Handspun yarn is such a delight and Blue Faced Leicester is my all time favorite fiber to spin, knit and weave with. It's sturdy yet soft and is perfect for many projects with just a bit of nice drape. For many it's next to skin soft and it's my first choice for baby and children's knits as well as for adults. Watching the colors as they blended together in the weaving was such a delight. 
 
Size:  14.5” x 44” (51” with fringe-- about 4" of hand twisted fringe on each end).
 
Take care to handwash this wool creation gently in cool water only and lay flat to dry.

I'm happy to take orders for custom spinning and weaving for that special project. I have a large group of fibers you can choose from or you can purchase fiber elsewhere and have it sent to me. You'll pay for the cost of the fiber and the custom spinning and weaving.
