The classic cotton kitchen towel….our most used and appreciated tool in all our kitchens. We can’t live without them! They wipe up messy spills, dry our dishes, catch crumbs, and clean precious children’s faces. These colorful cool toned towels were created for your home and family. I spent many hours combining the colors I thought would express my deep and abiding love of all the cool mountains around me, then winding the warp, putting it on the loom and then….the fun part…..weaving each towel. When the batch of towels is finished they’re washed, cut apart and each one hand hemmed. Then they’re washed and pressed again and ready for loving use in your home.
 
I’ve been using handwoven towels and napkins in my home for 4 years now and can’t imagine using anything else. It feels good to be honoring the earth by using towels that don’t end up in a landfill. And my towels look just as nice as they did when new and they’ve become softer and more absorbent with each washing.
 
This towel is woven with both warp and weft in a thick, cotton bouclé. Bouclé adds lots of lovely texture to the towels and is extra absorbent. It's warped with 3 different shades of blues and 2 purples and the weft is the same....woven in colorblocks and with a finished size of 17.5” x 23”. It’s 100% quality cotton and easy care with machine washing and drying. Please keep in mind that cotton continues to shrink just a tiny bit more for the first few washings.
