Autumn is all about my favorite colors and feels like a season of “gathering”…..friends, family, loved ones.
 
The classic cotton kitchen towel….our most used and appreciated tool in all our kitchens. We can’t live without them! They wipe up messy spills, dry our dishes, catch crumbs, and clean precious children’s faces. These colorful autumn toned towels were created for your home and family. I spent many hours combining the colors I thought would express my deep and abiding love of all the autumn colors around me, then winding the warp, putting it on the loom and then….the fun part…..weaving each towel. When the batch of towels is finished they’re washed, cut apart and each one hand hemmed. Then they’re washed and pressed again and ready for loving use in your home.
 
I’ve been using handwoven towels and napkins in my home for 4 years now and can’t imagine using anything else. It feels good to be honoring the earth by using towels that don’t end up in a landfill. And my towels look just as nice as they did when new and they’ve become softer and more absorbent with each washing
 
This towel is warped with curry, brass, brick red, burgundy, rust and plum Venne 8/2 Organic cotton and woven with a rust weft with plum and brass stripes and a finished size of 17” x 25”. It’s 100% quality organic cotton from the Netherlands Certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). Although the price is high for this cotton, what it represents, is a collective effort to improve our planet. And it's easy care with machine washing and drying. Please keep in mind that cotton continues to shrink just a tiny bit more for the first few washings.
