This fiber was part of a Spin-a-Long with the Inglenook Fibers group called Santa's Village and included 12 little packets of different colored fibers....one to open each day from Dec. 25 to Jan. 5. Each was a surprise and could be spun any way you wanted. The theme was a photo called Santa's VillagThanks e. .These battlings contained various fleece including bond, cormo, merino, rambouillet, coopworth/romney, faux cashmere, silk, bamboo and silk noil. Needless to say this finished yarn is delightfully soft!
 
Such wintery colors.....cool blues, rich cranberry reds, gorgeous purples and lavenders, magenta, gold and a bit of a ever so pale grays for awesome contrast....in this great mega size skein of wonderful handspun. It's mostly aran weight but some areas are thinner. I spun this fiber thick and thin and it has a lot of bits of texture.....it has a wonderful organic vibe! And Squish......oh the Squish! And with the oversized skein there's a lot of yardage for a larger project too.
 
Handspun yarn is, by nature, one of a kind and imperfect. All yarns are spun by me on my sweet spinning wheels in my smoke-free but dog friendly home in rural Utah and then soaked in a lovely lavender wash, dried and re-skeined and are ready to knit your treasures. My finished skeins are measured after drying and yardage is approximated to the best of my ability. Your gauge may vary when working it up. I always recommend swatching for gauge and colorfastness when working with hand dyed products. Some dye run-off may occur with the initial washing of hand dyed goods though my handspun is soaked before drying to minimize that.
