Bring a rustic piece of nature and the forests of the PNW into your home! This cedar bowl is handmade by my husband in his woodshop or sitting outside in our forest carving, sanding, cleaning and finishing. We were gifted part of a dead tree that needed to be taken down due to disease and close proximity to a home. This lovely bowl has beautiful colors and grain and would look amazing in your home!

This bowl is hand carved from Western Red Cedar. Cedar wood is a versatile and durable domestic hardwood that grows on both the East and West coasts of the US. Although there are many different types of cedar trees, the ones most commonly used for their lumber are Eastern and Western Red Cedar.  The scents of the various cedars are as different as the tree species themselves. Most known for it's scent is the eastern red cedar which is actually a Juniper.
 
All of our wood pieces are hand carved and may be perfectly “imperfect” which is exactly what we love about them. Every piece is unique and no two will ever be alike. Different woods make them look even more unique. The bowl has a food safe finish.
 
This bowl is 15.5" x 6.5" x 3" tall and weighs 1 lb. 2 oz. These photos show the exact bowl you'll receive. I photograph each one individually.
