Oh the Squish of this skein!!!! Rich purples, golds, rusty oranges, and a bit of warm tans for great constrast makes up this gorgeous skein of handspun in sweet, soft Polwarth/Silk wool. I've spun it into a 3 ply (chain plied) so that it will stripe a little but I purposely went for a lot of lovely mixing of the shades in this skein so the striping should be rather subtle. I love knitting with 3 ply handspun........the yarn is round,plump and full of squish....and gives great stitch definition.
 
Polwarth is a soft fiber similar to merino but with extra poofiness. Then add to that a bit of Silk and you have decadence at it's best! Knit it up into a wonderful gift for someone special or even for yourself. I think it's begging to be worn around the neck?
 
Handspun yarn is, by nature, one of a kind and imperfect. All yarns are spun by me on my sweet spinning wheels in my smoke-free but dog friendly home in rural Utah and then soaked in a lovely lavender wash, dried and re-skeined and are ready to knit your treasures. My finished skeins are measured after drying and yardage is approximated to the best of my ability. Your gauge may vary when working it up. I always recommend swatching for gauge and colorfastness when working with hand dyed products. Some dye run-off may occur with the initial washing of hand dyed goods though my handspun is soaked before drying to minimize that.
