Note: there is a knot about 35 yds. in at one end...doesn't happen often but occasionally it does. The price reflects that yardage being subtracted from the total.
 
From the dyer's notes: Haunui ( New Zealand Halfbred) is a stabilized breed only available from New Zealand. It is a cross between Merino and a longwool ( usually Romney or Leicester Longwool) with a lofty, soft, and fine hand. Haunui wool is at the finer end of Halfbred, with micron counts that are more often found in Merino wool. It has been consciously selected with handspinning in mind. This base is a rich brown to begin with and the deep rich tonal purples are stunning!!
 
Handspun yarn is, by nature, one of a kind and imperfect. All yarns are spun by me on my sweet spinning wheels in my smoke-free but dog friendly home in the beautiful PNW and then soaked in a lovely lavender wash, dried and re-skeined and are ready to knit your treasures. My finished skeins are measured after drying and yardage is approximated to the best of my ability. Your gauge may vary when working it up. I always recommend swatching for gauge and colorfastness when working with hand dyed products. Some dye run-off may occur with the initial washing of hand dyed goods though my handspun is soaked before drying to minimize that.

I'm happy to take orders for custom spinning for that special project. I have a large group of fibers you can choose from or you can purchase fiber elsewhere and have it sent to me. You'll pay for the cost of the fiber and the custom spinning.
